As someone who has lived and traveled to a few Asian countries over the years, I was thrilled and intrigued when I visited Europe a few months ago. During my exploration of various cities in Europe, I noticed several things that stood out to me.
- Minimum City Tax: Hotels in Europe charges a minimum of €2 per person.
- Plastic Bottle Caps: Plastic bottle caps are virtually impossible to remove in Europe.
- Public Toilets: Public toilets are scarce in Europe, and even when they are available, most often than not, they come with a fee.
- Bicycles: Bicycles are a popular and convenient mode of daily transportation in Europe.
- Trains: Trains are generally more convenient than flying in Europe.
- Transportation Delays: Transportation delays are common in Europe.
- Service Speed: Service speeds in Europe are generally slower compared to Asia.
- Siesta: In Madrid, most offices and shops close at 2 pm for a siesta.
- Cultural Diversity: Europe is renowned for its cultural diversity.
- Residency Determination: Physical appearance alone is not enough to determine whether someone is a resident or a tourist in Europe.
- Hotel Amenities: Hotels in Europe often lack basic amenities like toothpaste, body lotion, and bottled water.
- Train Door Access: Passengers in Europe have the convenience of opening the train door from either inside or outside.
- Train Ticket: Some trains verify your ticket inside the train, unlike Asia where you tap on the ticket barrier before boarding the train platform.
- Oldest Train System: Paris boasts one of the oldest train system among the European cities I visited.
- Similar Building Appearances: From my observations, most European buildings appear quite similar.
- Colorful Fashion: People in Europe embrace colorful fashion.
- Wi-Fi Speed: Wi-Fi speeds in Europe are generally slower compared to Asia.
- Ticket Machines: Some buses and trams in Europe are equipped with ticket machines installed inside.
